Delaware State welcomes William & Mary to Memorial Hall for a Thanksgiving weekend contest. The Lady Hornets have been idle since a 77-51 loss to Cornell on Nov. 23, their second straight defeat. DSU only trailed 14-12 after the first quarter, but was outscored 22-12 in the second to face a 36-24 deficit at the half. Cornell put the game away with a 23-11 advantage in the fourth quarter. DSU hit just 18 of their 62 shots from the field (29.0%), including eight-of-28 on three-point attempts (28.6%) in the contest. Lyric Turner came off the bench to lead the Lady Hornets with 15 points, highlighted by three three-point field goals. Turner has 36 points in the last two games. Lanayjha Ashe added 14 points to surpass the 900-point mark for her career (904) and tied for the team lead with four assists vs. Cornell. For the season, Sharajah Collins leads the Lady Hornets in scoring at 12.5 points per game to tie for 12th in the MEAC. Collins also leads the team in assists (14) and three-point field goals (9). She was named MEAC Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 18, primarily on the strength of a season-high 24-point performance in the Lady Hornets' 67-64 victory over Delaware on Nov. 12. Zoe Holmes is DSU's leading rebounder at 5.5 per game.
William & Mary (5-1) brings a two-game win streak into the contest. The Tribe is coming off a 61-44 victory over Hartford on Nov. 26. Eva Hodgson, Nyla Pollard and Bre Bellamy led a balanced William & Mary attack with 10 points each. Hodgson leads the team in scoring at 19.2 points per game, while Victoria Reynolds is second at 11.7 per contest. The Tribe is averaging 73.8 points per game, while allowing just 58.5 per contest. William & Mary is also holding opponents to a .384 shooting percentage, while forcing 128 turnovers ( 21.3 pg) through six games this season.

The Hornets and Tribe are meeting for the first time since the 2016-17 season and seventh time overall. William & Mary won the last contest 82-48 on Nov. 28, 2016 in Williamsburg, Va. The Tribe also won the last time the teams met at Delaware State 65-59 during the 2015-16 campaign.
