Dover, Del (Sep. 1, 2019) --- Victoria Colatosti scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Marist to a 5-0 women's soccer victory over Delaware State at Alumni Stadium this afternoon. The Red Foxes improved to 2-1 this season, while the Hornets dropped their third straight match to fall to 0-4.
Marist opened the scored with a goal by Kaylin Sperley off a feed from Jillian Colucci in the 24th minute. The Foxes led 2-0 when Abby Murphy beat DSU goal keeper Franchesska Ramirez on a free kick after a tip pass from Kristen Prevosto in the 39th minute.
Colatosi scored back-to-back goal in the second period (55th & 64th minutes) to give the visitors a 4-0 lead.
The Red Foxes closed the scoring on a goal by Chiara Di Palma in the 70th minute.
Delaware State was outshot 16-3 in the match.
The Hornets will plat their third consecutive home match on Friday (Sep. 6) against Lafayette. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 at Alumni Stadium.
