HORNETS SNAG A FIRST PLACE FINISH IN THE COLONIAL RELAYS

Williamsburg, Va. (April 4-6) --- Delaware State competed in the Colonial Relays over the weekend.

Forrest Booker led the way with a first-place finish in the triple jump, with mark of 14.06 meters (season high). Karim Beatty finished eighth in the same event with 13.61 meters.

The 4 x 200 relay team (Julian Brown, Kavante Dawson, Kendall Leach and Telvin Collins) placed fifth with a time of 1-minute-28.07 seconds (1:28.07).

Robert Duncan placed seventh in the discus throw with a mark of 46.92 meters.

The 4 x 400 relay team (Julian Brown, Kendall Leach, Gerald Amobi & Donte Rolley-Williams) finished in ninth place crossing the finish line in 3:17.70.

Kavante Dawson finished tenth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.17 seconds.

Next up for the Hornets is the Maryland Eastern Shore Challenge on April 13.
