Faleesha Dowe also scored an additional point for the team in the Long Jump, finishing in eighth-place with a distance of 5.54 meters.

Egypt Parker also made it to the podium. Parker was awarded a bronze medal after her performance in the Shot Put. The sophomore finished with a throw of 14.19 meters. Her performance also scored six points for the Lady Hornets.

In addition, Victoria Wilson added one point for DSU with an eighth-place in the shot put. The senior recorded a mark of 12.84 meters.

Delaware State scored two points in the Distance Medley Relay. The quartet of Sylvia Okafor, Cydney Davis, Janae Pitt, and Katarzyna crossed the finish line in 12-minutes-47.20 seconds for a seventh-place finish.

Up next for the Lady Hornets two members of the program (Nissa Martinez-Smith, and Egypt Parker) qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Championships. The “super conference” meet is from March 2-4, at Boston University.
