Dover, Del. (Oct. 6, 2018) --- Delaware State won four of six singles matches and captured the double point in a 5-2 women’s tennis victory over St. Francis on Saturday.
Sofia Rachi had the most impressive singles victory for the Hornets, winning 6-1, 6-1 over Runsi Patro in the No. 2 contest.
DSU’s Alina Polyvana defeated Sheila Centina 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 in the No. 3 match, while Anastasia Belkina bounced back from a first set loss to post a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Sandra Siles Polo at No. 4.
Rachi was also a winner in doubles, teaming up with Cassandra Boltman for a 6-3 victory in the No. 1 contest.
Belkina and Aayushi Chouhan gave the Hornets (2-2) a win in the No. 3 doubles match with a 6-3 victory.
