Lewes, Del. (Feb. 25, 2017) –The Delaware State women’s tennis team did not lose a set in a doubleheader sweep of MDES in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest. The Hornets won the first match 7-0 and completed the sweep with a 4-0 in the second contest.

In the first match, DSU won all six singles and each of the three doubles contests.

Elvira Galieva (No. 2) and Aauyshi (No. 5) were 8-0 winners, while Milan Graves (No. 1), Leza Bessonova (No. 3) and Sofia Rachi (No. 4) posted 8-1 victory.

Miranda Malagari (No. 6) claimed an 8-3 winner in the No.  6 contest.

Delaware State each singles contest by a 6-0 score.

Graves (No. 1), Galieva (No. 2) and Rachi (No. 3) were also straight-set winners in the second match.

Delaware State was also a 6-0 victor in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches in the second contest.

Three singles and one doubles contest were halted when the outcome of the match was determined.
