Academics:  Fall 2011 Dean's List and Hornet Academic Honor Roll honoree ... named a 2011 NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete while the Hornets as a team were 37th overall out of over 130 Division I squads, the highest ranking for a HBCU.

2011:  All-MEAC Second Team honoree ... MEAC Rookie of the Week for April 11 ... finished season with a .307 batting average in 49 games played (42) started ... led team with 35 RBIs (0.7 per game) ... tied for first on the squad with two home runs ... also tied for fourth on the team with 11 doubles ... finished fifth in slugging percentage (.443), hits (43), total bases (62) and total plate appearances (144) ... posted .964 fielding percentage and .319 on-base percentage ... collected a career-high three hits and six total bases with one home run at UMES on April 9 ... tallied a career-high of two doubles in a game twice (at NCCU on Feb. 25 and at Delaware on March 30).

High School:  Named Best Offensive Player and Pacific View League Second Team as a senior at Pacifica High School ...  transferred to Pacifica High School from Santa Clara during the middle of her junior season ... while at SCHS, was named Tri Valley League Second Team as a freshman and sophomore ... won Softball Golden Glove Award as a freshman and the Softball Best Defensive Player Award her sophomore year ... as a freshman, team reached the second round of the CIF playoffs ... also played varsity basketball.

Club:  Member of the So Cal Combat Panthers ... team finished third in the Canada Cup and 18U Nationals and ninth in the ESPN Rise Premiere Nationals.

Personal:  Born February 7, 1992 in Ventura, Calif. ... daughter of Martin and Nenise Martello ... has an older brother, Mario, and a younger sister, Sasha ... graduated from Pacifica High School in Oxnard, Calif. in 2010 ... also attended Santa Clara High School (2006-09) ... named to the California Scholastic Federation GPA of 3.5 and above for her academic achievements ... volunteered time with the Ventura Beach Community Cleanup ... majoring in psychology with the goals of obtaining her doctrine in psychology upon graduation from Delaware State.
