Dover, Del. (Oct. 1, 2019) --- The Delaware State women’s soccer team plays its third straight home match on Wednesday (Oct. 2), taking on the Iona Gaels at Alumni Stadium. Start time is set for 3:00 p.m.

This is the first meeting between the teams.

The Hornets (0-11-0) are coming off a 5-0 loss to Stony Brook on Sunday, while Iona is trying to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Niagara last Saturday.

DSU goal keeper Fabrea McCray recorded a career-high 11 saves in the Hornets’ last contest.

Mary O’Conner is Delaware State’s leader with two goals and six points this season.

Faith Preziosi and Amber Crispin are high scorers for the Gaels with five goals each. Preziosi also has two assists for a team-high 12 points this season.
