Dover, Del. (Oct. 3, 2018) --- The Delaware State women’s soccer team will pay tribute to its 2018 senior class during Thursday’s home match against South Carolina State.  The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. at DSU’s Alumni Stadium.

The Hornets will recognize seniors Samantha Bahr, Kayleigh Leschinski, Leslie Fazio and Jenna Wolfe prior to the match.

Delaware State is 2-9-1 this season. The Hornets are coming off a 5-1 loss to Loyola (Md.) on Monday. DSU avoided the shutout when freshman Mary O’Conner notched her first collegiate goal on a penalty kick in the second period.

Jade Jamison (jr.) leads the Hornets with four goals and eight points this season. Savannah Ay (fr.) is second on the team with two goals, each a game winner, and tied for second on the club with four points.

Fazio has a .634 save percentage as the Hornets’ No. 1 goal keeper.

South Carolina State (0-8) is winless this season.  The Bulldogs suffered a 2-0 loss to Young Harris College in its most recent outing on Tuesday.

Delaware State is 3-1-1 in its last five meetings with SC State, although the Bulldogs won the last contest   (1-0) on its home field in 2017.
