Dover, Del. (April 7th) – The Lady Hornets competed in the 2018 Colonial Relays, at Williamsburg, Va., this past weekend.

Amber Conyers had the highlight of the day for Delaware State. The sophomore from Washington D.C. finished in first place, with a career best jump of 5.64 meters in the Long Jump University Finals.

Conyers performance qualified her for the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Loren Harris also finished in the top ten, with a distance of 5.32 meters in the same long jump event.

Harris and Conyers day was not done yet though. Those two along with Faleesha Dowe, and Ahnrea McCaskill finished eight in the 4 x 100 relay, with a time of 49.75 seconds.

The quartet of Loren Harris, Faleesha Dowe, Leah White, T’Keyah Macklin finished sixth in the 4 x 200 relay, crossing the line at 1-minute-45.48 seconds.

Victoria Wilson finished sixth the Shot Put University Finals (11.66 meters), while Egypt Parker finished eight in the Shot Put Championship Finals (13.15 meters).

Up next for the Lady Hornets is the Towson Invitational, on April 14th.
