Newark, Del (Mar. 24) --- Delaware State finishes in fourth place at the Delaware Classic, scoring a total of 94 points.

Adam Funkhouser places first in the pole vault, reaching 3.97 meters on his vault. His performance qualifies him for the Outdoor MEAC Championships.

The 4 x 100 relay team comprised of Kendall Leach, Kiyair Lambert, Julius Allen, Edwin Rosembert finishes first with a time of 43.81 seconds. It is their second top three finish of the season.  

Delaware State’s “B” squad of Julius Allen, Gerald Amobi, Gregory Moore, and Elton Quansah places first in the 4 x 400 relay, crossing the finish line in 3-minutes-24.41 seconds.

The “A” team, Kiyair Lambert, Kendall Leach, Kavante Dawson, and Trenson Terry records a time of 3:30.43 in the 4 x 400 relay to finish in third place.

Trenson Terry records a distance of 6.40 meters giving him a second-place finish in the long jump.

Kendall Leach (51.80), Edwin Rosembert (51.89) and Julian Brown (52.66) finishes second, third, and fifth respectively in the 400 meters.

Gerald Amobi (2:01.58), Hanqaamo Lintiso (2:01.80), Gregory Moore (2:08.44), and Elton Quansah (2:10.86) places second, third, fifth, and tenth respectively in the 800 meters.

Eboh Chinma distance of 12.19 meters in the triple jump gives him a fourth-place finish in the triple jump.

Up next for Delaware State is the Colonial Relays, starting on April 6th in Willamsburg, Va.
