Baltimore, MD (December 1) --- The Lady Hornets finish in fourth place at the Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invite, with a score of 65 points, to start the season.

Tiajah Robinson records a mark of 1.60 meters in the High Jump for their lone first-place finish of the day. Donyae Shelton finishes in fourth (1.55m).

Amber Conyers places in second in the triple jump with 11.33 meters, Conyers also finishes in fourth place with a distance of 5.33 meters in the Long Jump for her second top ten finish of the day. Kayla Harris places in seventh in the long jump (5.03m).

Jolena Smith records a throw of 9.85 meters for a fifth-place finish in the shot put. She also finishes seventh in the weight throw with 10.49 meters, for her second top ten finish of the day.

Nissa Smith-Martinez finishes in second place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.14 seconds. Precious Igwebuike was right behind her with a third-place finish (9.28 seconds).

Ahnrea McCaskill finishes ninth in the 200 meters with at time of 26.64 seconds.

Lakendra Harpe places fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 59.93 seconds.

Sierra Cruz finishes seventh in the 5000 meters recording a time of 1-minute-29.58 seconds (1:29.58).

DSU’s “A” team comprised of Lakendra Harpe, Nissa Martinez-Smith, Mone’t Peterson, and Janae Pitt finishes in eighth place (4:18.72) in the 4 x 400 relay.

Sylvia Okafor, Janae Pitt, Mone’t Peterson, and Katarzyna Rosikon places third in the Distance Medley Relay (14:03.27).
