Dover, Del. (Apr. 8, 2019) --- Delaware State’s Gabrielle Fournier and Amber Van Segbrook have been recognized by the United Equestrian Conference for their performances last month.

Fournier was selected as the UEC Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month for March after posting a
4-0 record with one Most Outstanding Player award. She earned a 55-40 victory over No. 6 Oklahoma State on March 1 and defeated her South Dakota State opponent, 86-85, on March 2 in a Most Outstanding Player performance.

In addition, Fournier picked up an 82-79 victory over No. 4 South Carolina on March 8 and posted a 157-134 victory over No. 9 Fresno State in the opening round of the United Equestrian Conference Championship on March 22.

The Litchfied, Conn., native was named to the All-UEC Fences First Team for the 2018-19 season and was selected as the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Equifit Fences Rider of the Month for September 2018 .

Van Segbrook was selected as the UEC Reining March Rider of the Month after posting a 3-1 record  with two Most Outstanding Player honors.

She earned a 69-68 victory over No. 6 Oklahoma State on March 1 while also being named the event’s Most Outstanding Player.

In addition, she won her second straight Most Outstanding Player award on March 2 when she defeated her South Dakota State opponent, 72-67.5 and defeated her Fresno State opponent, 133-121, on March 22 in the opening round the United Equestrian Conference Championship.
