Dover, Del. (Aug. 25, 2016) --- Abigail Buckwalter (sr.; Westminster, Md.) of the Delaware State University Equestrian team will again compete against some of the top collegiate Western riders in the nation this fall. Buckwalter has been selected to participate in the prestigious American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show November 13 & 14 in Oklahoma City, Ok.  

This is the second time Buckwalter has been selected to compete in the one of the top events for college riders. She participated as a sophomore in the annual Sun Circuit Shootout in Scottsdale, Ariz., in 2015.

Buckwalter is one of the top Western riders on the Hornets, who earned a national top 10 ranking for the first time and competed in the 2016 National Collegiate Equestrian Association championship tournament this past season.

In addition, she was a NCEA First Team Academic All-America for the 2015-16 school year.

The American Quarter Horse Association, located in Amarillo, Tex., is the world’s largest equine breed registry and membership organization.
