Limerick, Pa. (Jan. 20, 2019) --- The Delaware State bowling team posted a 1-2 record in bracket Baker matches today to finish ninth out of 28 teams at the highly competitive Kutztown Invitational. The 13

th ranked Hornets fell to Youngstown and No. 5 Sam Houston State by 4-0 scores before shutting out No. 6 Tulane 4-0 to post a final tournament record of 7-6.

Twenty of the nation’s top 25 teams competed in the weekend tournament. The Hornets were 4-4 vs. other nationally-ranked teams in the tourney.
Delaware State was 5-3 in Baker matches and 2-3 in traditional contests during the tournament. 

Stephen F. Austin posted an 11-1 over record to claim the tournament champion. Arkansas State was second (10-3), followed by Maryland-Eastern Shore (10-3), Fairleigh Dickinson (9-4) and Vanderbilt (9-4) to round out the top five.
