Dover, Del. (Nov. 21, 2017) --- Delaware State’s Alexis Neuer (so.; Lancaster, Pa.) has been honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for the second straight week.

Neuer has again been named MEAC Bowler-of-the-Week after finishing third with a 217.8 average (1,089 total pinfall), tops among MEAC competitors, at the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic last weekend.

She helped lead Delaware State to a fifth-place tournament finish, eclipsing the 200-pin mark four times in five traditional matches. Her top score was 246 in a win over Kutztown and she rolled 225 vs. Maryland Eastern Shore.

Neuer also averaged 20.1 in 83 Baker frames last weekend.

Delaware State posted a 7-6 record at the Hawk Classic, 5-3 in Baker games and 2-3 in traditional contests to improve its overall mark to 32-12 this season.

The Hornets have earned four of the five MEAC Bowler-of-the-Week awards this season, two by Neuer (Nov. 14 & 21), and one each for Elizabeth Burkholder (Oct. 17) and Olivia Laird (Nov. 6).
