Dover, Del. (Nov. 14, 2017) --- Delaware State’s Alexis Neuer (so.; Lancaster, Pa.) is the latest Hornet bowler to be honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference this season.

Neuer was named MEAC Bowler-of-the-Week after averaging 221.8 in four traditional games (887 total pinfall) at the first MEAC North competition of the 2017-18 season last weekend.

A Preseason All-MEAC First Team selection, Neuer topped the 200-mark in each game, including a season-best 247 vs. MDES.

In addition, she had a 50 percent strike percentage (29-for-58) in Baker competition.

Neuer helped lead the Hornets to a 7-1 overall during the competition, tops among all teams. DSU was 4-0 in traditional games and 3-1 in Baker play last weekend to improve its season record to 25-6 this season.

She is the third Hornet to earn the MEAC weekly award this season, joining Elizabeth Burkholder (Oct. 17) and Olivia Laird (Nov. 6).

Delaware State bowling
