Dover, Del. (Jan.30) ---  Junior guard A’Nikeyawna “Keke” Barber was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced today. 

Barber (G, 5-10, Jr., Gainesville, Fla.) dropped a career-high 34 points in a 93-79 win over Savannah State this past Saturday, a game in which she also grabbed four rebounds and dished out a pair of assists. Barber shot 12-for-19 (.632) from the floor and went 7-for-10 (.700) from 3-point range. Her seven 3-pointers tied the school's record for most made threes in a single game.

Barber and her Lady Hornet teammates begin a two-game road swing at North Carolina Central this Saturday (Feb. 3 @ 2 p.m.). DSU will wrap up the trip at North Carolina A&T next Monday (Feb. 5 @ 7;30 p.m.)
