Savannah, Ga. (Mar. 27) --- Delaware State’s men’s track and field program finished fifth, with a team score of 19 points in the Savannah State Twilight Invite last night.

Robert Duncan lead the way for the Hornets. Duncan finished first in the Discus with a mark of 47.90 meters. Followed by a third-place finish in the Hammer with a distance of 30.60 meters.

Duncan’s performance in the Discus was the best mark thus far in the MEAC outdoor season. He also qualified for the IC4A/ECAC (super conference championship).

Julian Brown’s time of 48.69 seconds gave him a second-place finish in the 400 meters.

Roderick Brown’s placed second in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.64 meters.

Kavante Dawson finished second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 56.16 seconds, while Donte Rolley-Williams finished third in the same event crossing the finish line in 58.51 seconds.

The 4 x 100 relay team comprised of Julius Allen, Edwin Rosembert, Kavante Dawson and Kendall Leach finished third in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 42.35 seconds.

Gerald Amobi placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of two-minutes-and-12.22 seconds (2:12.22).

Next for the track team is the Florida Relays which starts today and ends on Friday.
