Collegeville, Pa (Mar. 24) --- The Delaware State Hornets debuted their outdoor season at the Ursinus College Outdoor Invitational.

Kavante Dawson finished first in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.37 seconds, Donte Rolley-Williams was right behind Dawson, his time of 1-minute-0.64 seconds (1:00.64) was fast enough for a second-place finish.

Julius Allen placed in fifth with a time of 10.94 in the 100 meters. Edwin Rosembert finished in fifth with a time of 11.65 seconds.

Julian Brown time of 22.49 seconds earned him a third-place finish in the 200 meters, Kendall Leach also placed in the top ten with a time of 23.31.

Jared Keaton was third in the 110 hurdles crossing the finish line in 16.53 seconds.

DSU’s 4 x 400 relay team: Julian Brown, Gerald Amobi, Kendall Leach and Donte Rolley-Williams finished in fifth with a time of 3:40.71.

In the field portion of the invitational Forrest Booker placed in first in the triple jump with 13.45 meters.

Roderick Brown placed in second in the Long jump with a mark of 6.77 meters.

Robert Duncan was second in the Discus with 44.05 meters. Duncan’s discus mark qualified him for the MEAC Championships (the qualifying mark is 43.50 meters)

Andrew Horne placed fifth in the shot put with 12.57 meters.

Next on the agenda for the Hornets is the Savannah State University Twilight Invite, March 2nd at Savannah, Ga.
