INDIANAPOLIS, IN---The NCAA Division I Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced that Delaware State’s Robert Duncan will participate in the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships East Region preliminary competitions.

Duncan was the best Discus thrower in the MEAC all season. He qualified for the NCAA Championships after winning Gold in the Discus at the MEAC Track and Field Championships, with a career best mark of 51.36 meters.

The preliminary competitions are scheduled for May 24 - 26. The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida will host the East Preliminary and California State University, Sacramento in Sacramento, California will host the West Preliminary.  The qualifiers out of these two regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships held June 6-9 in Eugene, Oregon.
