Philadelphia, Pa (April 26-28, 2018) --- The Delaware State Men’s and Women’s track team competed in the historic Penn Relays, at the Penn Franklin Field.

The Lady Hornets used Faleesha Dowe, Nissa Martinez-Smith, Jashella Jenkins, and Precious Igwebuike in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay. The group finished ninth in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay with a time of 1:00.29.

Amber Conyers recorded a career best mark in the Long Jump. She leaped a distance of 5.70 meters. Conyers performance qualified her for the IC4A/ECAC “super conference” meet, she has already qualified for the MEAC Championships.

Delaware State’s men program finished tenth in the Sprint Medley Relay. Their relay team of Julius Allen, Edwin Rosembert, Kavante Dawson, and Gerald Amobi crossed the finish line in 3:30.75.

The Hornets also competed in the Delaware Open Relays over the weekend.
