College Park, MD (Mar. 17th) --- Delaware State competed at the Maryland Invitational, this past weekend.

Janae Pitt led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line in 2-minutes-25.71 seconds.  Lananda Correia finished in tenth in the same event with the time of 2:29:09.

Egypt Parker and Victoria Wilson finished fifth and ninth in the shot put.

Loren Harris and Nelana James finished sixth and ninth respectively in the long jump.

Tiajah Robinson and Precious Igwebuike finished ninth and tenth respectively in the high jump.

The 4 x 400 relay “B” team comprised of Leah White, Cyndey Davis, Martina Smalls, and Janae Pitt finished sixth, and the “A” team of Precious Igwebuike, Faleesha Dowe, Loren Harris, and Mone’t Peterson finished in seventh.

Up next for the Hornets is the Delaware Classic, on March 24th in Newark, Del.
