Landover, MD. (Jan 20th) The Hornets had several top ten performances in the Terrapin Invitational during the weekend.

The 4 x 400 relay team comprised of Kiyair Lambert, Kendall Leach, Gerald Amobi, and Kavante Dawson finished in second place. The quartet crossed the finish line in 3-minutes-21.86 seconds.

The time was converted from 3:21.86 to 3:18.69 due to track size.  That is the sixth fastest time in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) for the 4 x 400 relay.

Kiyair Lambert also finished second in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.29 seconds.

Corey McGhie, Elton Quansah, Gerald Amobi, and Gregory Moore finished fourth in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:56.61 it was adjusted to 10:47.82, which is the third fastest in the MEAC.

Edwin Rosembert finished fifth in the 60 meters (7.03 seconds) and sixth in the 200 meters (22.94 seconds). Kendall Leach finished seventh in the 200 meters (22.96).

Adam Funkhouser finished eighth in the Pole Vault, with a distance of 4.05 meters. His mark is the fourth best in the conference.

Hasan Gill finished in 16th place in the 5000 Meters with a time of 17:04.13. His time was converted to 16:53.28 which is the eighth fastest time in the MEAC thus far.

Next up for the Hornets is the Dr. Sanders Invite on Jan 25.
