Dover, Del. (Sep. 9, 2019) --- Delaware State University will recognize faith, charitable and community organizations during the Hornets’ home football opener against Lincoln (Pa.) at Alumni Stadium on Saturday (Sep. 14).

Four hours before the 4:00 p.m. football kickoff, faith and community organizations are invited to set up stations outside the stadium to greet fans, share information on their missions and offer giveaways.

The Hornets will play a record seven home games this season. In addition to the Sep. 14 Faith and Community Day contest, Delaware State will hold its annual homecoming on Sep. 21 against Howard.

On October 19, Hornets’ football will host first-time opponent Merrimack for Family & Youth Day.  Hall of Fame and Champions Weekend will be observed during DSU’s Nov. 16 contest against Norfolk State; and Veterans/Military Appreciation Day is set for the home finale against St. Francis (Pa.) on Nov. 23.
