Smyrna, Del. (Oct. 28, 2018) --- The Delaware State men’s cross country team was ninth in the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship at DSU’s Outreach and Research Center on Saturday.

North Carolina A&T claimed its first conference title with 51 team points.

Hasan Gill (jr.) was Delaware State’s top performer, finishing 14th out of 72 runners to capture All-MEAC honors. Gill completed the 8k race with a time of 28-minutes-33.8 seconds.

Savannah State (86 points) was second in the 2018 MEAC Men’s Championship race. Bethune-Cookman (89), Maryland-Eastern Shore (90) and Norfolk State (118) rounded out the top five.

Gregory Moore was second  on the Hornets and 41st overall with a time of 31:26.20.
