Larkin also had a game-high 11 rebounds to post his third straight double-double and fifth in the last six games. Ball State hit 16 of its 29 first half shots en route to a 61-17 lead at the break. The Hornets were just six-for-36 from the field (16.7%) in the first half.

Delaware State improved to 43.2% shooting in the second half (16-for-37), but was outscored 55-40 in the final 20 minutes. Larkin leads the Hornets in scoring at 17.6 points per game and in rebounding at 9.3 per contest. Saleik Edwards (sr.) is second on the team in scoring (12.2 ppg) and tops in three-point field goals (36). Wiley has a team-high 52 assists to rank sixth in the MEAC at 4.0 per game. The Hornets were 2-14 in the MEAC in 2017-18 and have been picked to finish at the bottom of the league standings again this season.

Norfolk State (5 -10; 0-0 MEAC) has lost its last two and five of the last six games. The Spartans are coming off an 83-75 loss to Niagara on Dec. 29.
