Annapolis, Md. (Apr. 14, 2019) --- Delaware State improved by eight strokes from its first round score, but remained in fifth place after today’s closing round of the Navy Spring Women’s Invitational. The Hornets posted a second round score of 347 for a two-day total of 702 (+126) in the five-team event. DSU had a combined team score of 355 in Saturday’s opening round.
Host Navy captured the team championship with a two-day score of 603 (+27). Boston University was second at 607 (+31), while Lehigh finished third (630; +54) and Monmouth fourth (667; +91).
In the individual standings, Kanyakorn Chothirunpanit was Delaware State’s top performer with a two-day score of 167 (+23) to finish 21st among 30 competitors.
Panisara Chimsuti was second on the Hornets and 22nd in the field with a two-day total of 170 (+26).
