Frederica, Del. (Mar. 14, 2018) --- Fresno State used a balanced scoring attack in 21-3 victory over Delaware State in a women’s lacrosse contest at DE Turf today. A total of 12 players scored for the Bulldogs, led by Marina Mayo, Megain Walaitis and Lauren Gonzales with three goals each.

Fresno State led 3-0 when Lauren Perry (sr.) put Delaware State on the board with an unassisted goal at the 23:14 mark of the first period.

Perry scored her second goal of the game and fifth this season with 19:06 to go in the opening period to cut the Bulldog’ lead to 5-2.

Fresno State answered with nine straight goals, two each by Mayo and Dawson Chalifoux, to open up a 14-2 lead.

Olivia Summerville scored Delaware State’s final goal with less than a minute to go before the half.

The Bulldogs led 14-3 at the break and outscored the Hornets 7-0 in the final 30 minutes.

Fresno State held a 35-10 shooting advantage in the game.

Delaware State returns to action this Sat. (Mar. 17) against Presbyterian. Game time is 11:00 a.m. at DE Turf in Frederica.
