Dover, Del. (Apr. 29, 2017) --- Senior Brionna Watkins scored a career-high three goals and Iman Hassan (sr.) had two in Delaware State's 20-5 Atlantic Sun loss to Old Dominion in the Hornets'  2017 finale today.

Four players scored three goals each to lead the Monarchs. A total of 10 players scored in the game for ODU.

The Monarchs scored 10 seconds into the game on a shot by Megan Cameron and opened up a 2-0 lead when Sophia Richie tallied the first of her three goals 40 seconds later.

ODU led 6-0 when Hassan got DSU on the board with a goal at the 19:13 mark of the opening period.

Watkins scored her first of the game less than a minute later (18:32) to cut ODU's lead to 6-2. She scored twice more in the first period, the second on a shot with 26 seconds left to pull the Hornets to within 13-4 at the break.

Hassan scored the final goal of the game and her 22nd of the season with 1:11 left to play.  She finished her DSU career as the school's all-time leader with 53 career goals.

The Hornets posted an overall record of 1-10 and a 1-9 mark in their first season as a member of the ASUN.
