Dover, Del. (Apr. 20, 2017) --- The Delaware State women’s lacrosse team is home for the first time since Apr. 2 for a Friday (Apr. 21) Atlantic Sun contest against Central Michigan.

DSU is trying to snap a six –game slide that’s dropped its record to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the ASUN. The Hornets are coming off a 24-6 loss to Coastal Carolina in their most recent outing last Saturday.

Central Michigan snapped a four-game losing streak with an 11-10 overtime victory against Old Dominion in its last outing on Apr. 13.  The Chippewas bring a 5-9 overall record and 2-5 ASUN mark into the Delaware State contest.

Senior Iman Hassan is the Hornets’ top scorer with 15 goals and 22 points this season. Hassan had 46 career goals, three shy of setting a new school record.

Kayla Yurkanin (sr.) is second on the team with seven goals and 10 points.

Riley Huda is Central Michigan’s leader with 44 points, highlighted by a team-best 27 assists this season. Jocelyne Lemay is tops on the Chips with 34 goals and ranks second on the club 39 points.

Delaware State is also home on Sunday (Apr. 23) to face Detroit Mercy (11:00 a.m.) and wraps up the season with a home contest against Old Dominion on Apr. 29  (12:00 p.m.).
