Greenville, N.C. (May 13, 2011) --- East Carolina (32-17) pounded out 28 hits en route to a 24-0 win over Delaware State (24-25) at Clark-Leclair Field this evening.

The Pirates scored six runs in the first inning and four in the second to take a 10-0 lead. Phillip Clark had four hits, while four other players had three hits each for ECU. Seven Pirates drove in at least two runs.

Troy Drummond had two of Delaware State's three hits. Brandon Crist had the other hit for the Hornets.

The teams will continue the series with single games on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. each day.
