Prior to her arrival at Delaware State, Washington spent three years coaching the varsity softball team at Chiles High School in Tallahassee, Florida.  In 2003, she spent one year as the Assistant Coach at Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia.  Prior to that, the Tallahassee native spent one season as the Student Assistant Coach at Florida A&M, her alma mater.  Washington graduated from FAMU in 2002 with a degree in Psychology. 

Washington also has some playing experience.  She played at her alma mater from 1999-2001 and also at Brevard Community College in 1998.
