Dover, Del. (Jan. 17, 2018) --- Delaware State sophomore Alexis Neuer is listed as No. 3 on the “Bowlers to Watch” list for the 2017-18 season.  

The list is featured in an HIGH FIVE report posted today. 

Neuer is tops on the Hornets with a 204.7 average in regular team games to help lead the team to a 38-14 overall record and a 14-2 mark in the MEAC North this season. DSU sits atop the MEAC North standings with one series of matches left to play.

A two-time MEAC Bowler-of-the-Week  this season, Neuer was one of three Hornets to earn Preseason All-MEAC First Team recognition for the 2017-18 campaign.

Neuer was the 2016-17 MEAC Co-Rookie-of-the-Year after averaging a team-high 198 last season. Her freshman season with the Hornets was also highlighted by a strong showing at the 2017 USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship. This past summer, she was named to the USA Junior National Team (under 20).

Neuer has also qualified for the coveted spot on the national team after finishing third with a final round average of 206.08 (990 total pinfall) at the 2017 United States Bowling Congress Junior Gold Championships.

Delaware State is No. 6 in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 poll, the Hornets’ highest ranking since a No. 3 showing in 2010.
