Dover, Del. (Jan. 24, 2018) --- Soldier Field, the long-time home of the Delaware State University baseball team, is listed among the top stadium experiences in North America, according to a publication that surveys such things. According to StadiumJourney.com, Soldier Field stands at No. 100 in its 2017 survey of sports venues that offer the best experience for fans, tops among college baseball sites.

In describing Soldier Field in the survey, the author states: “This is a quirky, old baseball field that offers a good value to see a good on-the-field product. It is not shiny and new, but baseball fans may find Soldier Field to be one of the best college baseball experiences around the Mid-Atlantic region. Soldier Field is free to attend and parking is also free. Those coupled with the cheap prices for food make this a good investment for the true baseball fan.”

“We’re very proud of Soldier Field and experience it has provided our players and fans over the years,” says J.P. Blandin, Hornets’ head baseball coach since 2001 and a member of the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Hall-of-Fame.

“The recognition is a testament to all the players, coaches, alumni, parents and fans, along with the university support of our baseball program over the years.”
