Dover, Del. (Dec. 6, 2018) --- Delaware State lost some ground, but maintains a solid ranking in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association poll of Top 25 women’s college bowling teams. The Hornets are 13th in the December national poll, down from No. 8 in the previous rankings.
Delaware State is third among Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference teams in the December NTCA poll, trailing conference members Maryland Eastern Shore at No. 8 and No. 11 North Carolina A&T.
McKendree (Ill.) has moved into the top spot in the poll, up from No. 3 in November. Nebraska remains at No. 2, followed by previous top-ranked Vanderbilt at three. Arkansas State is fourth and Sam Houston State rounds out the top five.
Delaware State is 31-15 overall and 7-3 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference this season. The Hornets have been idle since the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawk Classic on Nov. 16 to 18.
DSU will not return to competition until Jan. 18 at the three-day Kutztown (Pa.) Invitational.
