Baltimore, Md. (Oct. 12, 2018) --- Kalysia Bates recorded 17 kills and Roi Wallace dished out 38 assists to lead Morgan State to a 3-0 victory over Delaware State in a MEAC North volleyball match Friday evening. The scores were 25-17, 28-26 and 25-18.

The Bears have won three straight and six of their last seven matches to improve to 11-9 overall and 3-1 in the MEAC. The Hornets dropped their fifth in a row to fall to 2-19 and 0-4.

Caroline Rakoski (fr.) led Delaware State with eight kills, while Milexa Cardona (fr.) had a team-high 20 assists. Nia Scott posted a career-high 23 digs to lead the Hornets.

Morgan State recorded a .327 hitting percentage in the match, tallying 47 kills and just 12 errors on 107 attacks. Delaware State had 28 kills and 18 errors on 110 attempts for a .091 attack percentage.

The Bears collected 56 digs to 41 for the Hornets.

Delaware State returns to action on Sunday at Coppin State. The MEAC North contest begins at 3 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.
