Dover, Del. (Feb. 20, 2013) --- Delaware State University has added three players, including two transfers, to its list of 2013 football signees.

The Hornets have announced that offensive lineman Earl Johnson of Washington, D.C., wide receiver Aris Scott of Harrisburg, Pa., and offensive lineman Justin Cook of Salisbury, Md., have signed to attend the University and join the team this coming season.

Johnson, a former University of New Mexico signee, competed for ASA Junior College (N.Y.) last season. He helped lead the Avengers to a 9-1 overall record and Northeast Football Conference championship. Johnson was a key member of the offensive line that paved the way to 436 yards and 47 points per-game in 2012.

Johnson was a standout at Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, D.C., before signing with New Mexico.

Scott, who previously signed with Wagner College, competed at Milford Academy Prep in 2012. Last season at Milford, Scott had 34 receptions for 418 yards and two touchdowns. He also was a part-time quarterback, completing 16-of-29 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

Scott was a standout quarterback at Central Dauphin East High School in Pennsylvania. He completed 138-of-292 passes for 2,262 yards and 41 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,616 yards and 21 scores during his scholastic career. Scott was a Second-Team Mid-Penn All-Star as a high school senior.

Cook starred on the offensive and defensive lines at Salisbury, Maryland's Wicomico High School, helping lead the team to an 8-3 overall record in 2012 and a 24-9 mark during his varsity career. The Indians made three state playoff appearances while he was on the team. Cook's defensive stats included 35 solo tackles and three sacks. He was selected to compete in the Md. Eastern Shore All-Star Game.

Earlier this month, Delaware State announced the signings of seven current high school seniors and three transfers for the 2013 season.
