Delaware State  closes out its 2012-13 non-conference schedule  with a visit to Arkansas. The Hornets (6-8) are coming off a 53-51 win at Marshall on Wednesday, their first-ever win against a Conference USA team.  Delaware State led 21-17 at the break and was ahead by as many as 12 in the second half. Casey Walker led three Hornets in double figures with 13 points. His performance included three three-point field goals. Marques Oliver added 12 points and Tyshawn Bell came off the bench to tally 11. Little-used guard Jabari Joyner put the Hornets ahead for good on a three-pointer with 58 seconds left to play.

Arkansas (8-4) brings a four-game win streak into the contest. The Razorbacks have been idle since a 79-61 win over Northwestern State on Dec. 29. B.J. Young had a game-high 26 points and tied for game-high honors with 13 rebounds in the Northwestern State contest. The Razorbacks held a 57-41 rebound advantage in that contest.             

DSU vs. ARKANSAS/SEC (Arkansas leads 4-0)
The Hornets and  Razorbacks are meeting for the third time in the last six seasons, and fifth time overall. Arkansas has won the previous four meetings. The Razorbacks won the last contest between the teams 71-53 on Dec. 7, 2009 at Bud Walton Arena. The teams also met on Nov. 24, 2007 at Bud Walton. Arkansas won that contest 89-67. 

The Razorbacks also defeated Delaware State in 1989 (117-75) and 1993 (123-66).

The Hornets are 0-9 all-time vs. SEC teams. In addition to the four losses to Arkansas, DSU is 0-1, vs. LSU, 0-1 vs. Mississippi, 0-1 vs. South Carolina, 0-1 vs. Alabama and 0-1 vs. Kentucky.
