The surging Hornets visit Morgan State in a nationally-televised (ESPNU) Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest. Delaware State has won its last three games to improve to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the MEAC. The Hornets are coming off a 24-0 win over North Carolina A&T last Saturday. QB Nick Elko completed 22-of-36 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown, and Travis Tarpley had nine catches for 128 yards to lead the Hornet offense. The DSU defense forced three more turnovers in the contest, including an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown by cornerback Jermond Colston. Morgan State (3-4; 2-2) has dropped its last two games, including a 21-20 setback to Howard last Saturday. The Bears failed to tie the game after its final touchdown when the snap on the PAT kick was low, forcing the kicker to throw an unsuccessful pass with 2:29 left to play.  Travis Davidson rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns in the contest for Morgan State.

This is the 56th meeting between the Hornets and Bears. It is Delaware State's second oldest rivalry (67 games vs. Howard). Tracey Martin rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bears. Morgan State racked up 314 yards, including 289 on the ground. Delaware State was held to just 54 total yards, including two yards rushing. The last time the team met at Morgan State, the Bears posted a 34-24 win. The Hornets trailed 21-7 before storming back to take a 24-21 lead. The Hornets outgained the Bears 389-382,  but lost the turnover battle six-to-three. Delaware State has lost its last two games at Hughes Stadium.
