DOVER, Del.  - Women's tennis sophomore Ksenia Kozlova (Moscow, Russia) and women's soccer freshman Taylor Addison (Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) were named Monday the Delaware State University student-athletes of the week.

Kozlova led the Hornets to a close second in their first appearance at the NBCU National Tennis Invitational this past weekend.  DSU collected 20 points in the event, just one behind champion Bethune-Cookman.  Kozlova earned HBCU All-America honors for her performance in both singles and doubles competition.  She won three singles matches before falling in her bracket finals.  In her doubles competition with fellow sophomore Vanja Andonova, the duo won their first doubles contests before a championship round loss to Hornet teammates Brittany Marshall and Marina Sicic.

Addison scored her second goal of the season Thursday evening to give the women's soccer team their first win of the year in a 2-0 victory over Goldey-Beacom College at Alumni Stadium.  The forward gave the Hornets a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute when she collected a loose ball inside the penalty area and scored on an empty net.

The DSU women's soccer team returns to action Saturday at Alumni Stadium with a 1 p.m. match against Harcum.
