Dover, Del. (May 2, 2012) --- Former Delaware State University running back Jaashawn Jones (Asbury Park, N.J.) is the subject  of a SI.com (Sports Illustrated) feature.

The story focuses on a Jones' life and aspirations following the murder of his brother, which occurred with the 17-year old Jaashawn in the room, in their hometown of Asbury Park, N.J.  

Jones played four seasons with the Hornets from 2008 to 2011. He led the team in rushing in each of his last three seasons. A 2011 Preseason All-MEAC First Team selection, Jones rushed for 1,720 yards and 16 touchdowns at DSU.  

Last December, he competed in the annual HBCU All-Star Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

Jones is scheduled to graduate from Delaware State University this month.
