High School: Played four years of basketball for the Springers ... as a senior, he was selected All-District, All-Metro and All-Region and was honorable mention All-State... also was honorable mention All-District as a sophomore... as a senior, averaged 15 points, seven assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals... team won the AAA state championship, beating Freedom H.S in the semifinals, then topping Washington (Danville) H.S. in the finals... compiled career highs of 36 points, 15 assists, 11 rebounds and 12 steals... was District All-Academic as a sophomore, junior and a senior and was on the Honor Roll ... coached by George Lancaster.
