Joel Jean-Simon hails from Silver Spring, MD where he played soccer at Spring Brook High School his four years there.
He played club for Team America Premier Futbol Club (TAP FC) out of VA. He played there from 2008-2010 where he helped the team win a VYSA state title in 2010.
Joel went on to play as a defender/midfielder at Wesley College from 2009-2012 where he was a four year starter. In 2012, Joel was made a senior captain where he recorded two goals. He graduated with a bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science.
Once leaving college, Joel started his coaching career in high school soccer where he coached at Sussex Tech High School in 2013 and then moved to Smyrna High School from 2014-2016.
Joel attended Delaware State University where he received his Master’s in Sports Administration in 2017 and was a volunteer for the Hornets' women's soccer team during the 2017-2018 season.
He currently serves as a coach for the Coastal Atlantic FC '07 Girls team.
He is married to Kira Jean-Simon and has twin boys, Preston and Maxwell Jean-Simon
