Tyler Kitzman
Assistant Strength Coach

Kitzman joined the Delaware State University staff as Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2016. Prior to joining the Hornets, he served as a volunteer intern for the University of Iowa football program from May to September 2016, as well as during the Fall of 2014.

Kitzman was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Coastal Carolina University during the 2015-16 academic year, working primarily with the football program that competed in the  2015 FCS Playoffs.  He spent time as an intern assistant at Coastal Carolina during the 2013-14 academic year, assisting with the football and baseball teams.

A graduate of Simpson College (IA), Kitzman earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2012. Following his football career at Simpson, he began his career in strength and conditioning as a student intern at the school.   

He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University Chicago.

Kitzman holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Red Cross.
