Greenwood returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in 2015. He has worked with Hornet cornerbacks and linebackers since joining the staff.
Prior to returning to Delaware State, he was on the University of Kansas football staff as quality control coach for defense.
Greenwood came to the Jayhawk program after spending the previous six seasons on the staff at Pierce College in Los Angeles, where he served as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.
Greenwood is a 2004 graduate of Delaware State where he was a three-year starter at defensive back.
While at DSU, Greenwood earned All-MEAC honors and was named the team’s defensive MVP in 2003.
In 2003, he was second on the Hornets with 68 total tackles. That season, he was also tops on the teams with five sacks and tied for third with 10 tackles-for-loss. In addition, Greenwood recorded five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, four pass break-ups and four pass deflections in ’03.
His three-year totals with the Hornets included 108 tackles, 14 tackles-for-loss, 6.5 sacks, nine pass break ups, nine deflections, seven forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
