Mary Hill is in her fifth year as the Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations/SWA. Hill joined Delaware State University staff as the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations/SWA in September of 2012. Hill oversees the sports of Men's & Women's Cross Country, Bowling, Volleyball, Men's & Women's Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field, Compliance, Soccer and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Prior to Delaware State University, Hill served as the Assistant AD for Internal Operations/SWA at South Carolina State University for six years and worked on numerous university wide committees. Also during her tenure at SC State, Hill served as Head Volleyball and Softball Coach for twelve (12) years previously before entering into Athletic Administration. Prior to SC State University, Hill served as the Assistant Volleyball/Softball Coach at her Alma Mater Florida A&M University. As a student-athlete, she was a standout volleyball player garnering All-MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), All NSWAC (New South Women's Athletic Conference), a member of the 1987 & 1989 MEAC Volleyball Runner-Up and 1988 MEAC Volleyball Championship team.
Currently, she serves as Co-Chair for the MEAC Cross Country Championships and the Delaware Diamond Extravaganza (DDE). Previously, Hill served as the Co-Chair for the MEAC Softball and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Chair for the DSU Athletic Hall of Fame Committee, and a member of the NCAA Division I Volleyball Committee.
Hill received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University with a minor in Social Work and her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from SC State University.
Hill is a member of the Florida A&M University Athletic Sports Hall of Fame, Women's Sports Foundation, National Association for Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA), National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a 2006 graduate of the NACWAA/HERS East Institute, a 2008 graduate of the N4A Professional Development Institute and a 2009 graduate of the NCAA Leadership for Ethnic Minority Males/Females.
