Dover, Del. (Aug. 6, 2019) --- Delaware State football was the subject of the popular Press Box-To-Press Row HBCU Gridiron Daily Podcast on Monday. Host Donal Ware discussed the upcoming DSU football season with Hornet head coach Rod Milstead.
Delaware State has been picked to finish last in the 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference football race, although Hornet linebacker Brian Cavicante (sr.) was chosen as the league’s Preseason Defensive Player-of-the-Year, while eight others were named to preseason All-MEAC teams.
The Hornets kick off their 2019 season at the University of Delaware on Thursday, Aug. 29. The home opener is Sat. Sep. 14 against Lincoln (Pa.). Game time is 4:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium. The annual homecoming game is the following Sat. (Sep. 21) against Howard at 2:00 p.m.
