Dover, Del. (Jun. 5, 2014) --- If you are searching for a first rate sports camp for your kids to attend this summer, than look no further than Delaware State University. The 2014 DSU All Sports Day Camp consists of five weekly sessions from June 9 to July 18.

The camp is designed to provide each child with a safe, positive camp experience. It’s operated by staff which teaches athletic skills at the highest collegiate level.  At other summer camps your child will work with high school or college students.  In contrast, the vast majority of staff at this camp will be NCAA Division I coaches and administrators.

The emphasis here is safety first. All campers will be well supervised and the camp routine will be very structured. A 12-1 ratio between camp staff and campers allow the staff to give much needed personal attention and maximized supervision for each camper.

Campers will utilize state-of-the-art athletic and recreational facilities. Campers will get to participate on Delaware State’s competition fields, as well as in the modern Wellness and Recreation Center and pool.

The camp will cover fundamental aspects of sports. Fundamental skills will be emphasized and taught by highly skilled DSU coaches and staff.

The camp will be held in Memorial Hall on the campus of Delaware State University. In addition to the main gym, campers will enjoy other DSU athletic facilities such as Alumni Stadium (football, soccer, lacrosse); Soldier Field (baseball); DSU tennis courts and the Hornet’s Nest (softball). Also, campers will have access to the brand new outside basketball courts as well as the DSU aquatics center which is located in the state-of-the-art Well ness and Recreation Center.

Besides the athletic component, campers will receive a variety of non-athletic experiences. Academic enrichment, guest speakers and more have been planned each week.

Each Friday campers will take a field trip to a designated place in Central Delaware
