Dover, Del. (Mar. 21, 2013) --- The Delaware State University softball team will host its annual Sean Savage Memorial Epilepsy Awareness Tournament this weekend.
The Hornets will be joined by Princeton, Colgate, Brown and Lafayette for the three-day tournament. Princeton will face Brown in the tourney opener on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Saturday’s action will also begin at 9:00 a.m., while the first game Sunday gets underway at 10:00 a.m.
Delaware State will play its first tournament game against Colgate on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The Hornets will take on Brown (2:00 p.m.) and Lafayette (4:30 p.m.) on Saturday; and wrap up tournament play against Colgate on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
The Sean Savage Memorial Tournament helps to support the Epilepsy Foundation's "Purple Day" project. Throughout the tournament, representatives from the Delaware Epilepsy Foundation will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Donations to support the Delaware Epilepsy Foundation will be collected throughout the weekend.
The Delaware State softball complex is located on Route 13, just north of Alumni Stadium and across the highway from the Dover Mall.
